Top 20 Pop New Artists
Former Take That member Robbie Williams scored big in the chart Club Awards last year and 2001 looks to be good for him to as he is named my Top Pop Male Artist of the Year.  On the strength of such songs as Supreme and Eternity his strong pop sensibilities shine.  His
songs often deal with pain and loss but through the lush arrangements and his pointed voice you feel like you can deal with just about anything.  Supreme got strong support by borrowing on the riffs of the disco classic, I Will Survive.
Carly Hennessy hit a home run with her very first single, I'm Gonna Blow Your Mind.  The song went to number one on my Pop chart, Adult Alternative chart, and the Top 40.  This Gregg Alexander produced song help propel Carly Hennessy to the Top Pop Female Artist of the Year in her very first year out.  Her followup hit, Beautiful You, was charting at year end.

The Top Pop New Artists of 2001 are the boys from the ABC-TV show Making The Band.  O-Town hit with Liquid Dreams first but it was All Or Nothing and Love Should Be A Crime that really put them on top.  Both of those songs went to #1 on the Top 30 Pop Songs chart.  Currently they are charting with We Fit Together and after a second season of Making The Band we might some new action from O-Town in 2002.
