3 Doors Down

Last December I saw a song on the WSAM playlist called Camera One.  I asked Sam about the song and he described it as typical adult alternative which sounded good to me.  That next week I saw the single for sale and picked it up without having heard it.  I fell in love with its moody tone, smart melody, and dark lyrics.  It entered the AA chart the first week of 2001 and eventually went to #1.  Three followup tracks went top ten over the course of the year leaving only three weeks in 2001 when The Josh Joplin Group was not on the Top 30 AA Songs chart.  Matter peaked at #6, Gravity peaked at #7, and I've Changed went all the way to #2 and still on the chart the last week of 2001.  This not only makes The Josh Joplin Group the AA Group of the Year, but also the AA New Artist of the Year and the AA Artist of the Year.
